‘Owsia’ to compete at Spain Film Festival

Iranian documentary ‘Owsia’ is to vie at Spain’s Science Film Festival.

Directed by Alireza Dehghan, Iranian short documentary ‘Owsia’ has been accepted as the finalist at Spain’s #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival.

1953 films from 107 countries have requested to compete at the festival.

‘Owsia’ narrates the story of Zarach qanat that is located in Yazd, Iran owns the title of world’s longest qanat. It is also registered as a UNESCO heritage site. The living site is dying under irresponsibility and wastewater pollution is poisoning pure and clear water during the 84 kilometers of its current.

#LabMeCrazy! fest offers a refreshing, modern take on scientific knowledge. The goal of the fest is to stimulate scientific enthusiasm and convey a passion for science. It brings together the best audiovisual products to help you examine the world of science using a new approach.

The festival is slated for September 17-20, 2019.
